Discussion on conventions of a Horror Trailer


A2 Media Studies conventions of Horror trailers from Will Thomas on Vimeo.


 In our group we produced a mind map of the common conventions in a horror film trailer. We listed the main talking points like characters, setting, sound and music, lighting and a few others. We then wrote examples and their effects for each of these things. We then filmed a discussion about these ideas.

    WWW: You work together to compile the findings from your individual analyses. You have considered a range of tropes including settings, props, themes etc. This really demonstrates that you understand the genre.
